Description and Purpose

Restorative Yoga is a deeply relaxing and therapeutic practice that uses props to fully support the body in gentle, passive postures. The aim is to create a state of complete ease and comfort, allowing the nervous system to calm down, stress to melt away, and the body to enter a state of healing and renewal. This practice focuses on rest, release, and rejuvenation.

All Levels, particularly beginners and those seeking deep relaxation. This class is suitable for practitioners of all experience levels, including those recovering from injury, experiencing stress, or seeking gentle movement.

What To Expect

  • Extensive Prop Use: Utilize bolsters, blankets, blocks, and eye pillows to support and cushion the body in every pose.
  • Long Holds: Enjoy passive postures held for extended periods (5-20 minutes) to encourage deep release.
  • Gentle & Supportive: Experience minimal effort, allowing the body to fully surrender to gravity.
  • Quiet & Meditative: Focus on breath and sensation, fostering a calm and introspective state.
  • Nourishing Savasana: Conclude with a deeply restful and integrated relaxation.
